hi everyone
virgin welder here........
i did arc welding in metalwork at school and 20 years on i thought i better have a go at it again as ive just bought a project car,a sierra xr4i turbo technics, rust in all the usual places ie. floor, arches, sills, boot floor edges.
ive totally stripped the interior, only dash and steering wheel left in. all sound deadening removed. plan is to cut all rust out, hopefully weld in some nice repair panels, install a roll cage.
will post pics of my efforts as i go along and learn.
1 quick question....
my welder is a 100 en clarke no gas won off ebay for 40 pound, works fine. can i only use clarke wire ? is 0.6 the best for my use ?
thanks
