hi. i did see another thread on this but now i cant find it so im starting another 1.
i just bought a sip weldmate t130p, ive never done any welding before so, so far ive just been practising with it. when i went inside my mum said that the house lights(not strip lights, just normal old fassiond 1's) had been flickering. i thought it must have bee the welder that was doing it,
i didnt think much of it and just thought it was normal as they must use quite a bit of electric to make the arc, and im inexpirinced so was probly holding the tip too far away and settings probly not spot-on which wouldnt help, there was a light breeze so the gas was getting blown away, which gave a pourouse weld, but appart from that the weld seemed ok, then i found out the mild steel i was using had a protective coating(not galv, just some dull grey easy to remove stuff) so thought that may of made the welder use more power of it was a bad conductor.
so as i say i thought nothing of it and thought it was normal
but then i saw the other thread on this problem on hear which i mensioned at the start, and got worried.
cheers for any advice
