This was a little project yesterday to help my granddaughter when working on her ponies feet(she will be 15 on Saturday) Tripod is 16mm rod.height adjustment rod is notched to give a secure fixing at different heights,I have to put some sort of liner inside the cradle attachment, maybe rubber or leather, this one will be kept at her stables,But I'm now thinking of making a lighter model from bike tubing that they can carry in the horse box,it will make it a lot easier to keep the ponies foot steady for cleaning and fitting the shoe studs when competing in events, Let me know what you think, and particularly any mods/improvements that sprig to mind,
P.S. Got quite a good bundle of the 16mm X 4 foot rods from a friend that works for a local fixing and bolting specialist, they were the left over pieces after they had made some long tie-bars,And as he said"the customer had already paid for the full bar length.Put a few quid in their charity box and everyone was happy.
