Hi guys,
I'm pretty new to welding and so I'm looking to buy my own mig welder.
After a lot of searching I've found a good second hand welder (I think).
It's a Hobart RC 304 + H2000 wire feeder.
I've mailed the seller to ask some questions but he really didn't know
much about the welder only that the current can be controlled in
3x9 steps untill it reaches 300Amps and that the wire speed is controllable
in 10 steps.
After searching the internet I found a lot of good comments about Hobart welders so I guess it should be an OK machine.
So what I want to ask you guys: does anyone here know what the minimal
current is for this welder (I'm planning to weld a lot of car bodywork and sheet metal) and what diameters of feed wire I can use.
Can't seem to find the datasheet for this welder (not even on the Hobart site itself) so any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks you,
Regards,
Mat
