I'm using formers I made to produce some items constructed of 20x20x2 box.
I made two matching formers to create a 90 degree radius in the box and for the last six months they have been working perfectly.
I'm using an ordinary Clark hydrauic bender which the formers fit into.
Why, all of a sudden, is the box section crimping in the former i rather than bending smoothly.
The formers are made up of 20mm flat, curved to the desired radius, sandwiched between two 5mm flat plates.
I bought 40 lengths of box and have been working through the stock without a single issue until today, having made hundreds of bends already.
Why oh why is it crimping today?
