Hi all,
Unfortunately, I was the idiot in question and I managed to hit my car trying to remove a wire wheel (don't ask). The car is fiberglass and the hammer removed a paint flake over about 1 sq cm. Only the top coat has been removed. I plan to visit my local paint supplier in Newbury along with the boot lid (the smallest item I can remove from the car to take) and get a touch up sample made up. The car was painted in the mid to late 1990's and I am assuming it is top coat/clear coat. Hopefully, the paint supplier will conform either way.
What would be the best way to make a paint repair? I am guess a small application of stopper, then brush apply some top coat/clear coat but I really looking to the forum for proper advice.
Thanks
Phil
