Budget around the £350 mark.Cracking bits of kit, have borrowed one heaps of times (especially when i’m stuck for lift tig). What’s your overall budget? Could get more amps for not much more cash, potentially.
Had a look via the link and yeah that’s great think I’ll send my manager the link to buy that one. That price is plus VAT so £348.
It's slightly cheaper from our forum sponsor, @weldequip
Linky.
Dual voltage too so no problems using it where 240v isn't allowed as long as you've got a suitable transformer.
Budget around the £350 mark.
Once I get one and get into a few jobs he will be getting told haha, fortunately a lot of the bits I’ll be doing I will be able to clean up or even remove and clean up before repairing.tell your boss he’s not charging enough when he sends you out to these jobs then..!
personally, having done heaps of these crap jobs (repairs to MOT ramps, bump stops for the end of the ramps, even sills and bodywork/exhaust) i’d be wanting a mig welder.
you’re going to have a ballache trying to get a decent run on the manky metal you’re working with, unless you can spend time cleaning it off properly (which is probably not an option given you’re on the clock!)

Oh yes screenshot the lot, I think he thought get a welder for £100 and away you go@Dan Short i take it you're going to show all this very good advice to your boss?
Seeing he's coughing up the dosh
No it doesn’t but out my Lorch against a Jasic and weld 16 hour shift I know which one will be working at the end of the week.I would rather save a penny and keep my guys in work as unfortunately in the real world moral dont pay the bills. Apple did the same thing if just can remember.

Jasic for £350 or Lorch for £500. I know where I would rather put my money.
Just shows you a German Lorch, EWM etc are not expensive. When you’ve got Jasic in China who run a sweatshop, knock out a PFC inverter and still charging £350 for it.
I’d rather support a a company with morals and get a decent machine.

But sadly common place around the world, Including the UKthat makes shocking reading.
