I am looking for a TIG welder.
Small hobby jobs in the garage. Steel only.
I have been reading forum posts and comparing specs, but still can't decide.
Probably between R-Tech and Gys at the moment:
GYS TIG 168 Pulse DC (£610) vs R-Tech TIG160PD-D (£498)
GYS TIG Pulse DC (£875) vs R-Tech TIG200DV-PD (£658)
(Realistically, based on the price, I am probably considering between the GYS TIG 168 Pulse and the R-Tech TIG200DV-PD but I wanted to compare apples with apples).
The machines look to have fairly similar specs.
R-Tech appears to have excellent customer service and a folowing of happy customers.
I can find little in the way of independent reviews of the GYS.
Why would spending the extra on the GYS give me?
