I'll start by saying I have absolutely no idea what's going to happen to/with it in terms of modification, however it was very cheap and has potential for a 'WTF?' or just 'Why?' build. Initially it's going to get fettled and MOT'd as a daily/commuter while all the other projects (or at least some of them) get done, then we'll see. I have all the panels etc so it shouldn't take too long and will look quite respectable (it's all relative!) when together.
It came with a set of original Suzuki (Krauser I think?) panniers. So driving back with it in the van I was pondering a version of those god awful 'Bagger' race Hardley Able Son' things our Trans-Atlantic cousins run. The thought being that as it's such an ugly lump of a thing anyway a turbo hanging off the front of the engine isn't exactly going to ruin its charm. A blower would be superb IMHO, but with the work involved in such a project I don't think I'd have the dedication to go through that for something which is just a bit of fun rather than a serious build.
Anyway, feast your eyes on this paragon of sharp handling sportiness. Please pay particular attention to the bars which may have been nicked from the monkey enclosure at Twycross, and the exhaust which makes a tasteful addition to the overall creation.
Oh, and looking back through the MOT history it's only failed once, in 2015. It failed on the "Drive chain being excessively tight." It passed the retest with no miles added, hopefully following the tester being shown the shaft drive and being sacked for being a moron.
