Used a pair once and they were ok but felt springy even if they were not as much as I thought, if that makes sense.
I was actually working at height last weekend we had two sets of alloy ladders going to 20 ft, one was what is probably decent diy quality which had some flex albeit minor and the other trade quality that were solid as a rock.
The difference in feeling safe was totally massive, so great in fact I ended up refusing to use the others.
I tend not to bounce anymore so heavy and solid has now become more acceptable than light and easy to move around.
I seem to collect Ali ladders, I must start selling some off
Dont buy them Paul...I wont have them anywhere near my lads or myself on any job whatsoever, We all have had far to many Fiberglass splinters in our hands over the years and hate them..get yourself a decent set of trade spec Ally ladders mate and you wont regret
Sorry for jumping in here I bought a set of ally ladders a couple of weeks ago, i'm thinking of getting some type of harness to hook onto the rungs. Does the ladder need to be secured to the wall to use these harnesses?
I would think you'd be better securing the harness to something other than the ladder?.
