Hi guys.
With the completion of an Open University degree (6 Years), I've decided to get my hands dirty and get back into some fabrication. My previous career, in Canada, involved a lot of marine grade alu and SS design and fabrication. The whole time I realized that I had a use for joining bits of aluminium together. Other than playing, unsuccessfully, with a wire-feed mig head in the shop one week, I always outsourced the work, or joined with hardware....
So I just bought a Miller Dynasty 200dx welder with the goal to get welding the stuff.
I've welded stick on and off in the past with some success, and messed a little with a DC Tig set in the aforementioned previous life, but this is the first time I've set out some time to develop the skills needed to reliably join two bits of more exotic metal together.
Looking forward to sharing and learning with you lot.
