Right on both counts Smiler, chinese amd most likely not the best quality. I won't say cr@p as it might be perfectly useable but it won't be built to last and you certainly won't get the same supprt you would with a well-known brand.
You also have to watch the minimum current setting on a lot of the cheaper ones, some start at 40 or even 50A so no good for thin stuff.
Just looking at the GIANT 200 TIG myself, mentioned between 10~200 on the amperage but not sure myself, also states 60% duty cycle
I'd like to know myself because I'd buy one if that's the case, just to get me started all I would need next is Argon and a mask
Have been looking at the Clarke AT131 but it only comes with the stick and not the TIG torch, but what caught my eye was that it can be used between 5 & 130amps where as the rest of thier TIGs are about 25 to 30amps.
I'm also looking around for a pair of slip rolls
I'll pop in to see what others mention hopefully
Kind regards,

*Close this evening innit fellas, been raining almost alday here and it's really muggy!
Personally I'd avoid all Giant products, but that's based on their MIG welders which have a terrible spec. That suggested to me they are more about cheap rather than useful, though I've not looked into their TIGs all that much - assumed they were all eBay with zero support when they break.
Inverter TIGs can be nice, but I wouldn't trust them enough to go without good support and warranty.
