Hi folks.
I posted a previous threat regarding the lack of user manual for my Wolf weld turbo mig 105 and lack of chart for switch settings vs metal thickness. I've looked everywhere but can't get a manual for this model.
Anyhoo, I've measured the voltages at the tip at the various switch positions as follows:
Min & 1 - 10VDC trigger pressed
Max & 1 - 13.4VDC trigger pressed
Min & 2 - 15VDC trigger pressed
Max & 2 - 18.8VDC trigger pressed
My question is; is there a non-model-specific chart available which plots torch voltage against metal thickness (for mild steel)? At least if I know the correct voltage setting I can fart about with the wire speed until I get a good weld.
Surely, these figures must be similar for most models because the current is ultimately governed by voltage?
Cheers.
