hi folks.
lemme introduce myself.
im syborg,32 from south east and recently dug out my old procraft arc welder from the shed and was off work for a week, now i dunno about u guys but it doesnt take long for my mind to start ticking over about new projects, anyway i was thumbing through the usual websites looking for a nice chimnea for my garden as fuel prices are just silly, anyway i spotted an old gas bottle in the corner of my garden kindly donated to me along with a gas bbq.
im know alot of folks have been making these for years but i genuinely thought this up on my own,lol
anyway after venting it off using a nail, i managed to get the valve off, flooded it out with the hose and started chopping with my much neglected milwakee grinder, after a few hours of swearing and sweating, this is my result,
ive seen ones on here way way better but please bare in mind i had no idea this was even possible until i tried it,
i used a 15kg bottle and some stainless boiler flue i found in my shed, along with some nice L brackets to save even attempting to weld mild to stainless.
i hope you enjoy my pics of basic chimnea fabrication using simple parts.
she even afterburns if a few bits of wood are tossed into the flue when shes up to full temp,
enjoy.
regards
syborg.
