Oh they are are lovely machines! Really very very good! Just test it, run a fair few electrodes at different Amperages, if you have some 6010 or 6011 put one of them aswell.
You won't get a new transpocket for that sort of money, unless somewhere has a stock of the older models. For that sort of money if be exploring the options new. Similar machine would be a lorch micorstick 160.
We had a transpocket at work, and it was a lovely machine. When it went bang it was replaced with a jasic, which has done exactly the same work day in day out as the fronius. Unless you need to capabilities of such machines have a look around.
Is migatronic any good I was looking at the focus stick 160 with power factor correction. That was 360 euro Inc vat . I'm still going to look at the transpocket but just keeping an open mind . I wouldn't be using it every day
I'm not sure on migatronic, just have a chat with @Tom Orrow L, he will be able to recommend some decent sets.
The transpocket is really designed for portability site work, and cellulose compatible. That sort of money you could get a really nice set, with warranty, and a few extras.
Thing is Liam in this day and age you don't need to spend anywhere near that for a decent set! If you have that sort of budget possibly look into a multi process if your ever be interested in mig
They are cracking machines but that's way too pricey for a 150 amp mma welder. It's too close to its new price and as good as they are they can all fail.
Here they usually fetch £200-300 condition and accessories depending.
I was thinking 350 euro that was as high as I was prepared to go. They are a lovely welder . But if it did fail 6 months down the road It would be a complete waste
