Yer I know, if only I had a small mill for the slitting saw then it would not take ages setting up the milling slide on the lathe which is almost impossible to line up as everything is in the wrong plane or back to front.A whole day to make a screw???!!!???

It was not just the bolt tightening itself, it was a broken taper gib screw.I did think that the taper gib had somehow tightened whilst moving the table but it turned out to be the pivot between the two arms was binding, the bolt was tightening itself when the table was moved to the right.

Getting there mate, remember the little bit of steel on the super glue arbour.just one thing will you please put a metal cap as well where the bolt goes through the handle if anywhere where it will fail its at that point
its the main reason why chisels and other handles have them on them
