Sorry, was getting confused with who was asking the question.I already have a milling machine! It's a 1960s Test 2U (2 tons or thereabouts of Italian iron, 3HP or more spindle motor with nice features like 1HP of power feeds and rapids on all 3 axes, swivelling universal table) and it's already INT40 - what it lacks is a quill! I'm thinking a quill head from another mill that's expecting to be driven from an INT40 hoizontal spindle might graft onto it with a suitable adaptor plate and perhaps an intermediate shaft...?
Then again, I haven't got around to putting decent worklamps or a DRO on it yet, those ought to be next improvements!
