The knee motor on my newly aquired xyz3000 wasnt working. And it's flipping heavy to wind by hand. Forget a battery drill and adaptor.
Tried bridging the contactors and the motor powered up fine. Knee wouldn't move though.
Got the cover off the motor. Bitch of a job the dro scale had to come off first.
I was rather stunned to discover the toothed belt was missing
It has been like that for a very long time but why? Spoke to the old owner. He said it was a standby machine and wasn't used much.
Belt ordered for the princely sum of £9.
Will have to check the switch next.
