Hi there,
I am just about to venture into welding as my 1971 car is needing some work before MOT.
I have set a budget of £200 and not sure whether to buy second hand as I reckon a better welder can be had for that way.
I think I am looking for a Gas MIG able to weld bodywork as well as some structural car parts such as battery hanger cage.
I really want to narrow my searching to avoid buying rubbish and being baffled by varying specs.
Are Sealey MightyMIGs a good buy and if so which should I go for?
Is it best to buy a lower spec welder new or a higher spec second hand?
What do you guys suggest I avoid like the plague to avoid disapointment?
