Ok, first of all, I have never done Mig welding before, always used a stick welder so, keep that in mind as you rip me apart
The Rhyas Turbo Mig Welder 30 to 135 amp gas/no gas looks like all the other bottom of the range migs I have looked at in store and online. For £142.99 you get the welder, one reel of .8mm gas wire and one smaller reel of.9 gasless wire. Fitting and setting up is a total doddle, just remember to observe the polarity changes when going from gasless to gas welding. I had the .9mm gasless wire in and the power at the second last setting and the wire speed at half way.
When i first tried to do a run, nothing happened, the wire touched the steel, nothing..............After a few minutes head scratching and nose picking I realised it was NOT a stick welder which is live ALL the time and that I would have to do some extra work like squeeze the bloody trigger!!!
First attempts were like a left handed chimp, second attempts had me getting closer to the metal and increasing the wire feed to full just to get a quarter decent run. The spots I did came out quite good. The splatter is amazing to say the least as is the blue smoke bomb that goes off everytime you use the thing! I wonder if that spray on anti splatter you use for stick welding would work here?? Anyway, the machine works well at the settings I had it on. Looking forwards to getting a small argon mix bottle and trying it gasless. Now to try and upload some piccies for you all to cry over
