my pub bloke does the half bottles for £12 i always give him the £15 as its easy for me and dont have to drive around
Rather than a PM I thought this might follow on. So IF you had an empty fire extinguisher (and it was in date) it has been mentioned on forum before that you could get it refilled at a company that deal with them or even at fire stations ????? Do you know where you might go to get one refilled (and cost?) as it might be an alternative for those up grading from disposable bottles but not wanting to go the BOC or pub cylinder route ??
I can see CO2 fire extinguishers disappearing....
You can still get them just a bit wider Instead of tallAt one time you use to see half sized pub cylinders (aprox 2ft tall) which would have been handy for attaching to rear of small portable welders but an extinguisher would be as good.

Is it a mix nitrogen / co2Well I got a pub size gas bottle but its full of some sort of beer brewing gas, If anybodys interested would do straight swap for same size bottle full of Co2.
seems a waste to empty it to use it when a home brew guy could use it.Arther
It's a while since I dealt with anyhttp://www.inndoctor.co.uk/beer-gas-the-cellar-and-colour-coding/
30% CO2 70% nitrogen generally (albeit can be the tother way round)
I have a pub bottle and get it refilled at a fire extinguisher company with no problem. They charged £16 the last time.Rather than a PM I thought this might follow on. Cheers, got in contact with another fire extinguisher guy locally and he's offering a 2kg full Co2 for 15 quid delivered. Seems a good deal to see how I get on with gas? I'll let you know@Teethy Try giving Stewart Ramsay Fire Protection an email (they are in Dundee) if your just looking for one for mig gas, if you stick it in writing that your looking for one to use for shielding gas, they might be able to sort something.
