Hi folks
I am looking into upgrading my power supply from 1ph to 3ph. On the application form it asks for kVa rating for the connection.
So my house is a small 2 bed cottage, gas heating/combi boiler for hot water, electric grille & oven but gas hob. The 3ph will be for the garage, and the biggest thing Id likely be using in there is a fairly powerful tig welder, which according to the spec sheet has an input of 11.5KVA @ 40% duty cycle. Other items would be a machine with a 2.2kW motor, another with a 1.5kW motor, then the lighting & sockets. The lighting is currently 11 flourescent tube lights.
Can anyone tell me what the estimated overall KVA I should be asking for is? Bearing in mind that as I will be the only person using the machinery its unlikely that more than one of them will be starting up/in use at any one time.
