Hi everyone as someone already know.
I've recently got a FSM Polsky FIAT 126p for free.
No gearbox,no engine in it .
It's intended to become a rally car.
Italian racing is regulated by ACI, regulations are aligned with FIA .
And those are pretty restricted so
Group N , Group 2 , historical car requires to have stock engine block , gearbox, frame , body ,wheels and especially brakes .
None of those can be modified.
And car minimum weight is much higher than stock car weight.
After days of struggling I've found that TM group is the only one I consider enough fun and safe .
No restrictions on those parts and I can put bigger brakes .
Only limitations on my project idea is on engine displacement , only 1050cc .
But turbocharger is allowed
Supercharger not
FIA approved fuel tank
So since there's no reason to heavily modify the frame because maximum allowed speed is 100km/h
The idea is to use an original gearbox , obviously modified (LSD , sequential shifter , Better bearings )
And put a little 1000cc fire engine in it.
Now little bit of headache , turbocharge it
1000cc and 1100cc fire engine have same bore but different strokes .
1000cc has 9.8:1 compression ratio which isn't bad considering that 1.4 T-Jet has the same exact compression ratio.
No underskirt piston oiler ,regulation allows to modify the lubrication system .
I believe that they are required
Now i know that T-Jet works at 1.4bar peak
Uno turbo worked at 0.7 bar with a compression ratio of 7.8:1.
Is 9.8 too much?
