Hello all,
I have made up some metal cones out of 22 gauge M/S, for an exhaust I am making, but having a bit of trouble with the welding of the seams, I can weld perfectly alright straight onto the flat surface of the 22 gauge very happy with the weld, but trying to weld the seam is doing my head in, It just burns away! the welder will go right down a past 10 Amp, I am very new to Tig welding, I recon there has to be some tricks of the trade somewhere that I am missing,or just plain down to experience I suppose as well, I have looked at loads of the same sort of exhaust that I want to build and it looks like no filler as been used on them, I am wonder if I have got the wrong gauge steel, just too thin for exhaust cones.
I would much appreciate some help/advice
