It's useful to be able to reverse the spindle on a capstan lathe - I have a couple of tap and die tools with one way clutches.
I also wanted an NVR switch for safety and casting through the pile of junk I saw my old Myford Motor and Switch gear (that lathe is running from am inverter now).
It's an Axminster NVR switch feeding into a home brew reversing switch.
Insides of boxes
Single L&N in and two out. First goes to motor run winding second set to reversing switch.
Switch is a centre off type probably not strictly necessary. Basically it's job is to flip Live and Neutral connections to the motor start circuit (winding and capacitor in series)
This means you have 5 conductors going to the motor.
The Clarke motor has loads of space in the connection box which is nice. Took me a while to figure out how to terminate imperial flexible conduit to the box but this looks quite neat.
And it's done.
Looking pretty spiffy.
