I have one of these hoists and am about to dismantle the pump.
If anybody here has experience of this I would be grateful for any tips.
Reason for attacking the pump is it leaks under pressure.
Hi All,
Just spotted this thread about the Epco engine crane. I'm about to start a restoration of one of these so I'd appreciate any tips or advice. My crane appears to have been left out in the open for years and while very solid, I'm sure the hydraulics will need a lot of tlc. I'm pretty certain the 4 bolts (or at least some of them) holding the pump to the crane will probably wring when I try to open them. However, I'm still looking forward to the project as it's a fine piece of equipment and I'd love to get it working.
My main concerns relate to the hydraulics and this is why I decided to try to post this message.
I'm particularly interested in hearing from Anglo-Ark or PandaWill as the pump and piston will obviously be the most tricky part of the rebuild. However, I'd be happy to receive advice or suggestions from anyone.
Neither have been active for some time [AA since 6/2018 and PW since 4/2016] - but I'm sure some of the lads or lasses will be along to help in due course.
