That's the garage I had at my last house!
I'll have to ask my neighbour if he bought it from you

That’s my experience with SuzukisI had a nice GSXR400RRFP that was find but years later I got a couple to do up and sell on and they were a complete PITA!
Carbs and electrics were very poor quality.
I swear they were making the connector blocks out of coral and the connectors from Quality Street wrappers. There seems to be something particular about Mikuni carbs that makes them prone to blocking. I don't know if it's the size of the drillings, the angles within them, or the alloy itself? That’s my experience with Suzukis
Sr125 on steroidsI had a xj1100 same engine differnt style. Had the slowest changing gearbox I have ever experienced on a bike. It was a big heavy barge of a thing with really poxy brakes but it didn't handle badly for it's size and had huge road presence. Pretty good on fuel for a 1100 too.

Here is an XS i built in the mid 90,s (check the trainees for proof) Big bore, big valves, hand made ally tank and a seat unit made from all sorts lying around at the time..and a lot thinner back then too sadlyAlways fancied an XS 1100 Martini after a certain Mr Hailwood doing rather well for them at the TT.
If I recall I had a pop up Katana in the mid '90s. Really regret selling that, it was a fantastic bike. Here is an XS i built in the mid 90,s (check the trainees for proof) Big bore, big valves, hand made ally tank and a seat unit made from all sorts lying around at the time..and a lot thinner back then too sadly
Also this was very early florescent powder coat on the wheels and bits too, very out there at the time.
Mid 90,s was the best..slap bang when "streetfighters" was new and exciting. The Katana was one i always lusted after at the time and i always wanted a Moto Martin CBX 1000 with a 6-1 too, both bikes have eluded me and still have today. maybe one day.If I recall I had a pop up Katana in the mid '90s. Kill two birds / one stone. Pip still has his Suzuki 6 cylinder but I think it is now in a Katana frame.Mid 90,s was the best..slap bang when "streetfighters" was new and exciting. Wonderful..i keep telling my wife we need a bike on the kitchen tableI have been in a kitchen that had a CBX Moto Martin on the kitchen table;-)
When I was between wifes, I bought a house, did it up, new kitchen etc, time moved on, and a lady friend came to dinner and told me off for having motorcycle parts on the bench and in the dishwasher. Where better to rebuild a bank of carbs on a winters day than the Kitchen bench.Wonderful..i keep telling my wife we need a bike on the kitchen table
Good move fellaWhen I was between wifes, I bought a house, did it up, new kitchen etc, time moved on, and a lady friend came to dinner and told me off for having motorcycle parts on the bench and in the dishwasher. Where better to rebuild a bank of carbs on a winters day than the Kitchen bench.
As the discussion progressed, I said “whos kitchen is it?” She said “it'll never be mine and left before dinner”.
I went to the pub for dinner celebrating another escape!

Lovely bikes it's just a shame they never really won much.
