Hey all, I have been using a home made electrolysis bath for months to clean rust off of various things from garden gates to classic mini doors but now I'm into my resto its time to sort the subframes, radius arms, hubs etc...
Hydrogen embrittlement, I am reading tons of conflicting arguments on the net and with no real definitive answer... your take? Is it OK on old cast steering hubs and radius arms?
Just to confirm I'm using sodium carbonate in the form of soda crystals from Tesco, water, 12 volt bench supply and limit current to around 8 to 10 amps using a different salt to water ratio depending on the size of the part being cleaned.
Thanks
