It does put an end to viewing an item before placing a bid!
Hmm that is true.
It does put an end to viewing an item before placing a bid!
They always have but never done anything with it!I am watching some twin wall flue on eBay and I messaged the seller with my phone number to make an offer before the auction ended, I had a warning message pop up on the screen to say that I was in violation of eBays terms and conditions and if I persisted I would have sanctions imposed on my account!!!
They must be filtering all messages to see if they contain keywords and contact info.
You dont need an excuse...just say you dont want it!I used to decide on how much I would be happy with and put it as a buy it now with instant payment, auctions as you rightly say get hammered by idiots and especially people who wake next morning with buyers remorse, ignore you and pretend they did not buy it or claim the 3 month old baby, the cat, a burglar or parrot hit the key board by accident and yes the parrot was an excuse some crazy woman used on one of my sales
there was an ad on ebay recently, the guy had placed a placard with his phone no. on in the picture section...
It's against their rules to put cash on delivery, you have to offer paypal except for vehicles.
This means they can pay by paypal for something, collect it then do an item not received because you don't have tracking, it's always been a big fail of the system and many sellers have lost a lot of money.
If they collected off me they paid cash or were chased, if they paid by paypal I refunded it with a message telling them to fetch cash and I don't care what ebay threatened to do.
No...Can you put links in listings? I'm about to sell my record collection and I've catalogued it all on Excel. The spreadsheet will be on Dropbox and I want to put a link up so people can download it.
That's a sod - I've about 2000 tracks to catalogue
They don't like that..there was an ad on ebay recently, the guy had placed a placard with his phone no. on in the picture section...
my business account is called -
thebeast-co-uk
which is convenient, as my website is
thebeast.co.uk
I figure anyone who cant work it out is probably not worth worrying about! : )
I think I would go about it by listing a few and when you get a sale include a note in the parcel with your email explaining what you have and would be happy to send the file if they are interested in any more albums. That's a sod - I've about 2000 tracks to catalogue
i dont know if it covers all music, but have you considered discogs? I know they have a selling function there now.

Also didn't there used to be a listing fee? So even if you end early they still got paid.
