Ebay Bargain.....8ft x 3ft x 2 in Steel Plate??

If it had been a couple of weekends before I would of had a punt at it, as I was going to Chesterfield anyway it would only of meant taking the trailer with me. Just couldn't justify another trip up so soon, even for the plate.

I hope its useful and you can make the space for it.

Things like that on Ebay go either dead cheap or silly expensive, but it was a total bargain at that price...

Well done! I was going to bid as it was described as steel not cast iron, but didn't at the last minute as although I could have collected it I haven't really time at this time of the year. I was going to cut it up to make base plates for cnc milling - I'd have been really p######d off to find it was cast iron!

cast surface plate...looked like a slab of steel,thats got to be the catch of the year and i see it worth a lot lot more than purchase price

Jesus, last time I looked for surface plate for a mill bed in similar sizes you could add another zero to the end of that...

None of them are standard, one is broken, the other is past it and the last one is my son. There is another in there, however we had to move him to the side as he would have taken all the picture up
