A few of you may remember I was looking at Freelanders for my wife, so naturally I ended up buying a Qashqai instead....
It drives nicely and felt reasonably quick for what it is (150hp 2ltr dci) and it was doing about 38mpg in mixed driving. We went up to Nottingham to visit family ~ 3hr or so run on fast roads and since we came back it's like a different car, the Mpg is slowly climbing in mixed driving it's now 41 and the engine feels way more powerful.
I assume that the DPF was clogged and the 6 hrs at high speed had cleared it out.
I plan to have it removed from the ECU the first time the light comes on and gut the box out to remove the restriction.
Has anyone else done this to a dci?
