I've a problem with brazing Brass. I've been using Oxy/Acet which is prohibitively expensive for my limited use and obtaining Oxcy/Propane rent free seems like a non starter.
I make bicycle frames and most lugs (joints) can be made using silver which flows well using Mapp gas but on other parts of the frame brass has to be used because it plugs up largish holes well. Mapp will melt the brass but not enough to make it flow. I've tried. Sooo I've been wondering if I used two flames would that produce twice the heat. That may be obvious to some here but not to an amateur like me. I could mount one burner in a fixture pointing at the work and hand hold the other to move the brass around. Would it work?
