I've been messing around with ideas for secondary glazing for a couple of years. Came up with a prototype last year, and a few days ago decided it was good enough and that I would just make it.
So out with the dangerous saw.
And then the table router
It's a curved bay with curved leaded glass (mostly) and I'm going for flat secondary glazing so there is an annopying 7 degree angle on top of everything else that appears when I least expect it.
Plan is to fix and seal the support frame to the existing frame, and rely on the draft blowing through the leaded glass to dry out any condensation. The glass will be screwed on using decorative mouldings so I can remove it for cleaning and maintenance.
Anyone have any ideas for a seal between the glass and frame? I was thinking about making a channel for a round seal that would be compressedby the glass, but don't know all the options.
