Hello. I have returned my EINHELL bench grinder with belt sander (because it was garbage) and I have bought a BOSH bench grinder. I think is the first time I buy a good brand machine.
The questions is that I miss the belt sander and I´m thinking about making one. In youtube there are a lot ot videos explaining it, but in all of them they use 4 rollers or pulleys like this one.
It is very big and complex. Can it be done only whith 2 rollers? One in the motor shatft and the other whith a screw and a spring to apply tension.
I have 2 motors
A is from a washing machine. Universal motor. Around 400/500 watts and almost 20.000 rpm
B is from a driyer machine. Induction motor. 130watts and 2900 rpm
I think the most suitable is A. And since is an universal motor, it is easy to control the speed.
Another thing is I see the rollers are not cylindrical. They are thicker in the middle. I supose this is for maintain the belt in place. If I use only 2 rollers, only one of them have to have this shape, right?
Thank you
Best regards
