Armalites, those are still nitrile, have you tested them against cellulose thinner (aka standard thinner)?I use these, I can wipe them down with brake cleaner no issues. Used to be able to buy direct from Polyco but they've stopped that now. I tend to get a few boxes when Zoro/Cromwell have a sale on. One thing that seem to affect most of them is leaving them exposed to light it then seems the first few you grab rip easily.

I think Xylene = cellulose thinner = standard thinner.I have Ansell TouchNTuff chemical resistant gloves which also hold off brake cleaner no problem but xylene thinners eats right through them.

Thank you! Might be as good as it gets!I did a little test at the weekend, I poured some thinners into a used glove. Came in had my lunch and when went back out the finder was still full of thinners. The figure had swelled a little. Even an hour later it still hadn't split but weirdly the piece of metal it was hanging against the paint had come of it so there must have been some seepage.

I think it's also duration and intensity. My gloves only fail if I dip them in the thinner. If I'm just using paper towels dipped in solvent then I'm ok.Interesting thing is that was a used glove too that had been sitting around for a while. The other thing is it may be different when you are handling stuff.
I'd happily put some in an envelope if you wanted to try some?
I tried other gloves since I started using these and I've always come back to them and I have sometimes used the same pair over a couple of days
