Glad you're happy.
After a certain amount of time you'll start to realise how much of life you've missed by keeping it going when you could have been running a reliable motor instead.
But meanwhile, enjoy!
Sounds good - can i ask what the details are? Manual / auto / miles / year / cost etc?
Paddocks will be your money pit now, im sure.
I was just thinking that nothing had broken on ours for a while, then i turned the headlights on, and one was pointing down at the bumper...
Fallen out of front, as one of the clips has broken. At least that will only be pence.
It's popular to remove the turbo, which drops the power output down to something approximating the ~75 horses the 2 1/4 petrol puts out, giving reasonable performance while not snapping half-shafts every week.A 300tdi will give a poor old series drive line a hard life, unless you have a very light foot!
Drivers side window doesn't work, first thing I'm fixing.
[snip]
got the haynes manual to help me
That's not too bad. I dont know how it works, but that's the kind of one where you ask if they have any cancellation slots for the afternoon...
I was so pleased when my partner passed her test first time, as her sister took 8 (yes, eight) attempts. I almost think there should be a point where they force you to quit!
Bad luck on the test, so all you can do is polish the Disco for now.
His re-test isnt till the 9th. Something will need repairing on it before then! ; )
