I've had a desiccant dryer lying around for years (ebay purchase)
finally setting around to setting it up... It has 2 chambers so air flows through one with the other dries (venting to atmosphere) and then they swap back later... I'd always assumed it was clever and would itself know when to swap between chambers etc..
but I've gone to wire it up and all it is is a little motor (a but like a central heating 3port valve motor) acting on 2 small valves (which in turn work a larger actuator) - which swaps which chamber is being used
anyone know if anything is missing or if that's how these work?
if that's all it is I'll have to add an external timer to swap between the two chambers?.... seams a bit... rubbish? I guess setting up a timer to swap chambers every 24 hours is probably my best bet?
I don't use much air right now, but my new packing machine (apparently) needs 30CFM of nice clean dry air
anyone have much experience with these?
