Grease, cutting fluid, mud, and general crud from the skip are what needs cleaning off.
I know acetone is recommended for a final clean before TIG. Is it any good at degreasing?
If using cellulose thinners, is it still worth a final clean with acetone?
A good going over with the jet wash will remove most of that, then either something like gunk and jet wash again it the grease is stubborn.
But for general workshop dirt and crud a jet wash is very good.
