Recently i got a Decamig 635 welder from my dad.
I guess it's pretty old because i can't find anything about it.
Now there are 2 knobs i don't now what they are used for. (burnback and the 'M in steps')
Is there someone who can explain these?
For the small picture then the input can either be 220 Volts 3 phase or 380 Volts 3 phase
The duty cycle is 40% at 270 Amps will draw 28Amps from 3 pase at 220 Volts or 16 Amps from 380 Volts 3 phase. the output voltage at 270 Amps is 27.5 Volts
100% duty cycle is at 170 Amp output voltage output is 22.5 Volts and will draw 15Amps from 220 3ph or 8.5 Amps 380 V 3 phase.
After some searching and testing the only thing that i don't know is the yellow button on the lower right, the: 'stairs with the M inside'.
The left side buttons are for:
- 2T, 4T, spot weld single, spot weld multiple times
- time setting for spot weld
- time setting for pause between spot welds
The right side:
- wire feed
- burnback: If burnback is set incorrectly you either have a long wire sticking in the cooling puddle when you release the trigger or the wire burns back up to the contact tip and sticks in the tip.
- Lower right button: ??? If i look at other mig welder manuals i also notice softstart/hotstart or inductance settings, not sure where the 'M' stands for though...
