very true but u cant see these they are under the wing
There's always the issue of cold bending ali around too sharp a radius and it cracking!

I only need 16 all made from Ali now anyway but I may re do in stainless
L200 no it is the standard arch flares it is held on by plastic push rivits the brackets are just extra security I reakonWhat's it for/on? Are these bolt on Forest type arches.
You want to proper bodge it, using all the wrong tools?
Drill a bit of alloy, thick enough to countersink the three fasteners into.
Rough cut 16 parts, with the shape on the top one.
Drill and bolt them all together.
Shape using the blade of a bandsaw (not a horizantal one)
Cool, link pleaseI have a pack of aluminium specific 1mm slitting discs designed to be used on a normal 4.5" and they work very well indeed.
That's a quality point and one you should give your attention too hotchefThere's always the issue of cold bending ali around too sharp a radius and it cracking!

Depending on the grade of alu your using that one 90° bend could be enough to see them all useless. Aluminium might seem like the obvious choice for been easy to work with but in many cases it's not. It doesn't cut too nice with general abrasive and it doesn't form or work to well without annealing it (depending on grade of course).
At 1mm thick if it's a heat treatable grade I wouldn't be surprised if they split on the fold.
They certainly won't withstand any amount of pulling on them. 1mm stainless is a far superior material for that. I'd cut them out in T shapes with a slitting disc and dress all the radius's up with a flap disc. Drill out to suit.
