So I'm about to start on my workshop. At long last.
It's corrugated iron, built on a wooden frame work.
It's pretty old, and has lots of 'character'... They obviously didn't have spirit levels when they built it.
The plan is so far...
Loads of hardcore, then level that with rough big sand. DPM, then concrete, probably with reinforced wire mesh.
That much is certain.
I was thinking I'd breeze block the walls, but I've just (tomorrow), found 80mm Styrodur, like kingspan. Enough to do all the workshop walls, on the interior, second-hand for a bargain price.
So now I'm thinking, is there any point sticking up a breeze block wall on the interior?
The point of the breeze block wall was to stop the humidity from the condensation.
It I glue all the joints of the kingspan, and then plywood the interior? On a timber frame?
I'll probably have a stack of breeze blocks in a couple of places to run an I section beam, for a roller follower, and my electric chain hoist. Or run I beams vertically to support it.
Or breeze block, the kingspan, in a wooden frame to attach kingspan in?
Open to your thoughts. Here's what the interior looks like, excuse the mess.
