Hi all,
I'm after a little bit of help with a small problem I've got... I'd like to make a corkscrew but with a little bit of a twist.... It needs to be 3 (if not 4) inch diameter, 12" long and made with 12mm mild steel bar
It can't be formed like a 'helicoil' then 'pulled out' as the bar must be uniform all the way along.... It also can't be done with a 'gas flame' to heat up and form as I've possibly 20 to 30 to make??
I can only think of a 3" tube and welding on handles like the bar twisters that are for sale, but I can't think of any way to moving the bar while it's being twisted to form the corkscrew affect??
ANY suggestions would be great...
