Hello!
I really tried finding a definitive answer but failed. I am interested if the thread size inside a tig torch is an industry standard?
Mine (Esab TBi SR 26 tig torch) came with stock kit which I'd like to upgrade to gas lens but the product listing information on local market is lacking to say the least. Tried measuring the threads off of the included collet -
The torch thread appears to be M9 fine pitch and the cup thread is M10 x 1.5mm.
Aside from the gas lens requiring larger backside of the cup, is there any fitment risks to the torch itself, assuming I get everything matching between consumables?
And about the consumables matching - if I get gas lens which is 50mm long, it appears that cup with 41mm length should fit it? (both are made by Migatronic, so I would hope, they fit).
Searching "migatronic 2.4x50mm gas lens dimensions" returns exactly one ad on Google and nothing else. just my luck. So I guess all I can count on is experience from others.
Cheers
