Good idea to keep things simple even when it's not. Like the bow press useful for working on the bow, but you do know you'll end up spending ages playing and it'll never seem to improve. Just practice the bewildered look when you do everything the same but have no idea where the arrows gone. Every one does it I have fond memory's of a England shooter putting 6 arrows on the wrong Boss(target) at 100yds at Dunster Shoot, then standing at the boss with a very strange look on his face. Very hard sport to get good at but a really good sport to be involved in. A good instructor in the first few months will pay off for the rest of your shooting career. Simple difference between a compound and recurve/long bow, hard to pull but gets easier and hard to pull and gets harder.Hello, and welcome to the forum.
Gordon described it well. My reply would include that the eccentric wheels at the end of the limbs give you a mechanical advantage as the felt holding weight decreases as the string is drawn back, while the full power in the limbs is retained. Upon release, there is a smoother acceleration of the arrow which allows for a greater stabilising effect on the arrow's flight.
Under his avatar it says he is in Cambodia, so perhaps there's an issue with the computer translation function .But added a bit on the end, so I’m undecided if it’s a spammer or the post is just badly composed hence the premoderation. My money is on the former.
Has he copied and pasted instead of using the quote button?
I thought I still had my fletching jigs, and yes I do; a couple of Bitzenburger's.

Try wearing eyepatches on both eyes, that should reduce the number of barrels in half again, down to one.I'm utterly useless with a bow, never really good out until I took up clay shooting.
Turns out I don't have a dominant eye, I cant tell which of the 4 barrels I see is the real image, have to wear one eye shaded glasses.
That’ll bring out a nasty rash!!this is what the finished ones look like

that's an unfinished Plume holder. Will have two holes punched in it to rivet to the back of a helmet to hold feathers. Clankies love to pose. You could have someone's eye out with those!
What is the one with the rams horn style end used for?View attachment 370771
