Being practicing with water based base coat and 2K clear over it. I must say I'm very pleased with the results, the flatting and polishing went well and a decent job was achieved. As mentioned by forum members on another thread, base certainly hides imperfections and so I'm thinking of going this route rather than direct gloss.
I know nothing about paints and what I ought to be looking at, what I can say is that I'm interested in a good quality solid black water based base coat. With preference to the 2K clear I'd quite like something where I could apply multiple layers for a really deep glass like glossy finish.
Any suggestions ?
