Afternoon all,
I'm looking at a Clarke Plasma king 50 that was working fine until about a week ago. Now, the air comes on, the main contactor pulls in, but there is no pilot arc.
Coincidently, the owner said that the contact tip had melted through - it looks very badly worn. As the pilot arc is formed between the two tip components I suspect this could be relevant.
Does anyone know what the christmas-tree type wire component in series with the Pilot arc circuit to the torch does?
Where is the HF for the arc ignition generated?
Thanks,
Luke
