Hi
I've just unpacked my new Clarke MIG160TM (Turbo) MIG Welder and the manual for both the welder and the regulator describe attaching the low pressure side of things in different ways:
"attach the nut and tail to the gas hose, using the worm drive clip provided then screw the nut on to the regulator outlet and tighten"
"attach hose to the hose connection of the outlet connection and tighten with clamps provided"
now no clips were in the with package however the thin hose does seem rather secure in the actual connector provided (although I have never come across one of these before). It was a case of just pushing it in easily enough but then it seems to "lock" in place if you try to pull it back out. I've attached a picture which shows the connector and hose, I can give this a jolly good tug and it doesn't budge so is this a new type and the manuals just haven't caught up yet?
the manual also talks of a "flash back arrestor" but again this wasn't a seperate item, is this built into it?
Final question, in the picture what is the black outlet in between the gauge and the hose outlet?
Thanks folks
