I have been making wrought iron gates and railings for years now using an arc welder but would like to know if a clarke 90 mig welder would be ample to do this kind of work or if not then what would anyone advise me to get.
I've made railings with my Clarke 150TE and it was OK.
If you're going to be doing a lot of railing though, and have the welder running for longer periods that I did, then as above, you need something that isn't going to overheat and shut down. Even though my 150 keeps going, I can feel the difference after a few minutes at full power.
