Hi all
I did a welding course at my local agricultural college recently and now need a welder to begin restoring my hillman imp.
I haven't got enough money for a portamig but I don't know whether to go for this clarke 160 or spend a bit more and get the parweld machine(both in the weldequip shop here) for £100 more.
It has the eurotorch and a bit more power but i'm not sure if I actually need the extra power - the eurotorch is what I've used on the course so that may be more of a useful to pay for. Also for any bigger stuff I'll probably buy a stick set up so I can stick big bits of metal together in the garden
Maybe the clarke and then upgrade to the eurotorch fittings.... and a better mask
Dunno really so any thoughts would be gratefully received
Cheers
Jim
