Hi all
Just wondering if you could help with a problem I have with my Clarke 160TE.
I've owned the welder about 4 years now - gave it a lot of use in the first 2 years of its life and has been used on and off in the last 2 years.
However recently its started to chew the wire up at the pinch roller on a very consistent basis . Unsure what's causing this as although I am good at welding, I've not really needed to service a welder before.
The spool of wire I am using (0.6mm) seems to jerk off the spool occasionally - not sure whether its this spool that has been poorly wound or an issue with the torch and liner or possibly a combination of the two.
Anybody would like to give me some ideas of where to start looking and what to change - I have a big welding project coming up very soon and need the welder in tip top condition.
Cheers for any help
